I grew up in western Kansas (Holcomb, Garden City, and Colby). I attended Fort Hays State University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I am married to Shelly. We have two children, Laurel (6), and Lincoln (4). I currently teach 4th grade at Colby Public Schools. In my spare time I wash dishes. I enjoy sports of every kind, reading, art, and home improvement.

Testimony

When I was 12, my brother presented the plan of salvation to me in such a way that was clear to me I needed God's offer of salvation through Jesus Christ to save me from the consequences of my sin. Not long after that, I accepted Christ as my savior. Part of God's process of growing me has been to put mature Godly men in my life at various times who took an interest in discipling me. Because of my experience, I value discipleship. My goal is to continually be a part of the discipleship process in both teaching and learning. I have had the privilege of serving God in various roles such as Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, men's discipleship, and interim preacher. The verse I often lean on is Isaiah 26:3.
