Testimony:

I grew up in a Christian home and in a Bible preaching church (Berean Fundamental Church in Imperial, NE). However, I didn't enter in to a personal relationship with Christ until I was 16 years old. I grew up going to AWANA, vacation Bible school, and Bible camp, but missed out on knowing God personally. I knew all of the right information, but failed to apply that information and know God for myself. At the age of 16 I attended senior high week at Maranatha Bible Camp. It was during an evening worship service that I looked around and saw hundreds of kids my age who had something I did not. What they had was a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It was at that time I realized that all the right information in the world meant nothing without personally knowing my creator. I didn't walk down an aisle. I didn't raise my hand. I simply bowed my head and recognized before God my need for Him in my life. I already knew I was a sinner. I already knew He was the answer. I simply decided to apply that knowledge to my own condition, and enter in to the most fulfilling relationship offered to mankind.

Since that day I have had a desire to serve others who may be in similar situations, and also those who know nothing of Christ. Upon finishing high school my wife and I set out as newlyweds to Frontier School of the Bible. We had planned to attend Bible school for three years and then immediately jump into youth ministry. We had good intentions but God had a different time line for us. We were young and had much maturing to do both spiritually and in the practical sense. I struggled at Frontier with my attitude and with my study habits. After two years I began to grow frustrated and left shortly thereafter. Fortunately, God already had someone lined up to keep my family and I on track. I ran into the pastor of the church we currently attend and we began talking. He asked me why I was frustrated and offered to help. I accepted his offer and he began doing a Bible study in our home with my wife and I. He encouraged me to not give up so easily and to keep digging for answers within the Scriptures. He taught me a systematic approach to the Bible that took away my frustrations and made Bible study exciting and rewarding. It is now my desire to continue studying and to share what I have learned with others and have them grow in their excitement as well.

Call To Ministry :

God has blessed me with an amazing wife and three amazing children. I believe it is my responsibility to love and serve them and to be the spiritual leader in our home. Part of my responsibility as the spiritual leader is to model Godly character and a life that is devoted to serving Christ. As a family we believe God is leading us to serve in full time Christian ministry. My wife and I have a love and a passion for reaching teens and young adults.

Passions:

In life, I am most passionate about my family. I am profoundly in love with my wife and children and find great joy in watching God grow and develop our family. I look forward to spending time relaxing with my wife and playing with and teaching my children.

In ministry, I am most passionate about truth. I believe in absolute truth that is found only in God's Word. It is my passion and desire to teach others that truth, and watch their lives change as a result.

Erin's Testimony :

My wife Erin was saved at a young age. She grew in her walk with God through attending church (Berean Bible Church in Hastings, NE), summer camp, and Nebraska Christian High School. When she was eleven her family was in a head-on car accident. Her mom received several brain injuries and life at home from then on was tough. Erin went through a period of rebellion in her high school years but never strayed too far from God. She knew God still loved her but she was testing the rest of the world to see if they did. Erin and I met at Maranatha Bible Camp the same year that I received Christ. After camp that summer we wrote letters back and forth and God began bringing the two of us together. We dated for two years and then got married once I finished high school. By this time we were both convinced God wanted to use us in ministry.

Over the past few years God has really been working in Erin's life through several different circumstances. Recently, her father passed away from cancer. Shortly after his death our second child was born with serious health problems. We nearly lost him on several different occasions. Once our son's health was stabilized Erin's mother tried several attempts at suicide. This was very hard on Erin and I was concerned for her spiritual and physical health. However, about two years have passed since these events took place and Erin has grown tremendously. God has taken these events and strengthened our family's faith and our love for one another.

Today, Erin is excited about taking her troubling experiences and reaching out to others who are going through difficulties. Erin is a loving and caring individual who truly desires to help others.
